Shabbir asserts that minorities will vote for Congress in Assembly election

The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has received over 300 suggestions for its proposed Minorities Declaration from Muslim and Christian socio-religious organizations. Mohammed Ali Shabbir, the committee’s chairman, announced that 12 prominent Muslim, Christian, and other organizations have submitted their demands. Muslim organizations have submitted 89 demands, Christian organizations 30 demands, and three Shia Muslim organizations 40 demands.

The demands cover various areas such as economic empowerment, education, women empowerment, religious infrastructure, housing, Old City development, protection of Wakf properties, promotion of Urdu language, cultural and religious institutions, etc.

Shabbir Ali emphasized that the Minorities Declaration would be a comprehensive vision document to ensure the safety, growth, and prosperity of all minorities including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, etc.

Zafar Javeed, the committee’s convener, stated that an interactive meeting with minority organizations and NGOs would be held in September after the Congress Working Committee meeting. The committee members have been actively seeking support from various organizations and individuals for the Congress party in the upcoming Assembly elections.
