The Congress manifesto committee chairman, D Sridhar Babu, has encouraged people to share their ideas for the party’s manifesto. He stated that unlike the BRS manifesto, the Congress manifesto will be scientific and reflect the aspirations of different sections of society. Babu held the first meeting to prepare the final draft of the manifesto and mentioned that it will include suggestions from the general public as well.
Babu also mentioned that the manifesto will incorporate the aspects of declaration and five guarantees announced by Sonia Gandhi. He emphasized that it will be prepared carefully, considering the state’s revenue, unlike other parties. The meeting was attended by various party members, including AICC (TS) in-charge Manirao Thakre and MPs N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
In addition to this, the TPCC has received more than 300 suggestions from leading Muslim and Christian socio-religious organizations for its proposed ‘Minorities Declaration’. Mohammed Ali Shabbir, the PAC convener and Minorities Declaration Committee chairman, stated that several organizations have submitted their demands to the committee. Muslim organizations have submitted 89 demands, Christian organizations have submitted over 30 main demands, and three leading Shia Muslim organizations have submitted about 40 demands. The committee members have also received over 400 suggestions for the welfare of minorities after the Congress wins the next elections. Shabbir assured that all promises made in the declaration will be practical and implemented fully.
