The Meteorological Department forecasts heavy rain for six districts in Telangana due to changing weather patterns. Winds carrying moisture from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea are the main causes of the expected rain.
Kamareddy, Medak, and Siddipet are likely to see very heavy rain. This is due to a high-pressure system over Kamareddy and a low-pressure area in central Chhattisgarh.
Recently, Kamareddy experienced severe rainfall, with 20 cm of rain in the last day or two, totaling 60 cm. Siddipet received more than 20 cm, and Medak recorded up to 30 cm.
Residents should stay alert as the weather is predicted to worsen in the next few days.
