Six Test Positive for Drugs in Moinabad Farmhouse Raid, TDP MP and EX BRS MLA Among Those Detained

Police have filed cases against 11 individuals following a dramatic raid at a farmhouse in Moinabad, Telangana, where six people tested positive for drugs, including former BRS MLA Panjugula Rohith Reddy. The operation was conducted by the EAGLE Force after receiving specific intelligence about illegal activities at the location.

The 11 individuals named in the case are Moravineni Ramesh, Putta Mahesh Kumar, Panjugula Rohith Reddy, Varamachaneni Sravan Kumar, Namith Sharma, Panjugula Ritesh Reddy, Nallapaneni Vijaya Krishna, Koushik Ravi, Tiruveedula Arjun Reddy, R. Priyanka Reddy, and Silveri Sharath Kumar. All were taken into custody during the raid conducted at the farmhouse premises.

During the operation, police officers discovered one person holding a pistol and another with empty rounds. EAGLE Force SP R. Giridhar confirmed that officers heard suspicious sounds upon entering the farmhouse and immediately rushed to the scene to apprehend the individuals. The presence of weapons prompted immediate action from the raiding team.

Initial drug tests conducted at the scene revealed that five individuals tested positive. The suspects were then taken to a hospital for blood sample testing, where a sixth person also tested positive. The individuals who tested positive for drugs include Rohit Reddy, Ritesh Reddy, Nimith, Koushik, Arjun Reddy.

SP R. Giridhar stated that during the investigation, authorities discovered that among those detained was an ex-MLA and a sitting MP. The blood sample testing confirmed that Putta Mahesh Kumar, the sitting TDP MP, tested positive for drugs. Panjugula Rohith Reddy, identified as a former BRS MLA and a pilot, was also among those who tested positive.

All procedural activities were completed at the scene, and the detained individuals underwent mandatory testing protocols. The EAGLE Force team ensured that proper legal procedures were followed before handing over the accused to local police for further investigation and legal action.

The accused have been handed over to local police authorities who will proceed with further legal steps in the case. Police officials confirmed that all detained individuals will be produced before the court as per legal requirements. The case has drawn significant attention due to the involvement of prominent political figures.

SP R. Giridhar confirmed the procedural steps, stating, “We conducted all the procedural activities. They were taken to hospital for blood sample test. One person, in addition to the 5 people, tested positive. So, a total of 6 people were found positive. We handed them over to local Police, they will take further steps. We will produce them before the Court.”
