In Hyderabad, the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM) celebrated freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak‘s birth anniversary by launching the “Swadeshi–Videshi Product Index”. This event took place at the new office of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti and aims to promote support for local products.
Ravinuthala Shashidhar, A. Keshava Raju, and Keshav Soni jointly presented the index on Wednesday. It encourages the use of Indian-made goods during the Ganesh festival this year. Organizers handed out copies of the index to various Ganesh Mandaps, highlighting Indian alternatives to popular foreign products.
SJM plans to conduct awareness campaigns at each Mandap, educating people on the benefits of using swadeshi products for both the economy and culture. Leaders stated that Ganesh Utsav should highlight cultural revival and national values, turning each Mandap into a hub for Swadeshi activism.
Prominent figures like K. Mahender and Sriram Vyas from the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti supported the initiative at the event.
