Residents of Aurora Colony in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad are facing issues with flooding during heavy rains despite recent upgrades to the sewerage pipeline. They are calling for a permanent solution to the problem.

After a report in The Hans India on May 25 highlighted flooding in Sri Nagar Colony due to old pipelines, new lanes were constructed to connect to the passing nala. However, residents have observed that even with the new pipelines, the issue of flooding and sewage overflow persists.

Anil Neelam, a resident, mentioned that despite pipeline upgrades last month, drainage continues to overflow, causing dirty water to flood the area. Another resident noted that after the upgrade, the dug-up area was not leveled properly, leading to mud getting stuck in the drainage lane and nala connection.
