SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath Warns of Strict Action on Illegal Sand Mining and Transport

The police in Nagarkurnool district have started a strict crackdown on illegal sand mining and transportation. SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath has warned that anyone caught transporting sand without proper permits will face legal action. Their vehicles will also be seized.

To enforce these rules, a Special Task Force has been formed. This team will be led by DSP Satyanarayana and will include CCS CI Shankar, SIs Abhishek Reddy and Parvathalu, along with ten other police personnel.

Authorities will closely monitor sand storage points in several areas, including Vangoor, Uppununthala, Telkapally, Tadoor, Kalwakurthy, Veldanda, Achampet, and Nagarkurnool mandals. The police, along with the Mining and Revenue Departments, will take strict action against illegal sand mining and transportation.

SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath also warned that those who damage government land through illegal mining will be charged with theft and destruction of government property. Their machinery, such as JCBs and tractors, will be seized and auctioned.

The district surveillance team is actively gathering information on illegal mining and sand smuggling. Offenders will face severe punishment.

“The sand mafia will not be spared. Strict action will be taken against illegal sand transportation,” SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath stated.
