The Superintendent of Police for Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, J Surender Reddy, talked about the importance of the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal at a training programme for police personnel. The CEIR portal helps users find their lost or stolen phones by allowing them to quickly file a complaint at their local police station. The website also lets users block a stolen or lost phone, unblock a found phone, and find information about a second-hand smartphone. To use the CEIR portal, users need a government-approved photo ID proof, invoice of mobile, and FIR copy. The training programme was held in Bhupalpally on Monday and was attended by other police officials.
