Gadwal: To improve night security, District Superintendent of Police (SP) T. Srinivas Rao, IPS surprised police teams with a night inspection. He focused on boosting the effectiveness of patrolling, Blue Colts, and beat duties in Gadwal town.
The SP visited important spots like YSR Chowk, New Bus Stand, and Krishna Veni Chowk. Here, he checked how well police teams were handling night security tasks.
While talking to officers and staff, SP Srinivas Rao stressed being alert during night shifts. He instructed them to:
- Regularly check people loitering at night, especially those who look suspicious.
- Use Papillon devices to verify identities through fingerprints.
- Conduct Drunk and Drive tests and thorough checks on vehicles.
- Inspect lodges and gather information on new guests for proper records.
- Ensure beat constables patrol residential areas for visibility and vigilance.
- Take steps to prevent property crimes at night.
The SP’s visit motivated the police force and highlighted the importance of responsibility in their duties.
He was joined by DSP Mogilayya, CI Tanguturi Srinu, and Traffic SI Balachander, who helped coordinate with the teams on the ground.
