Hyderabad: Temples across Telangana held special prayers on Friday for the safety and success of the Indian Army following the launch of Operation Sindoor. The operation is India’s response to a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
Endowments Minister Konda Surekha directed temple authorities to organize these special rituals statewide. She emphasized the importance of standing in solidarity with the armed forces during this challenging time.
“This is a moment where we must all support our soldiers,” said Surekha. “The success of Operation Sindoor, India’s second strike on terrorist bases in Pakistan, brings pride to the nation.”
She strongly condemned terrorism in all forms and expressed deep respect for the soldiers who lost their lives, especially recalling the Pulwama attack. “Their sacrifice is unforgettable. We owe them eternal gratitude,” she added.
Several major temples took part in the spiritual effort. Special poojas were held at:
– Sri Kaleshwara Muktheswara Temple
– Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple in Karmanghat
– Ketaki Sangameshwara Swamy Temple in Zaheerabad
– Kala Bhairava Swamy Temple in Hyderabad
The prayers aimed to support the armed forces spiritually and to bring peace and strength to the nation.
