Hyderabad: To accommodate the festive season’s passenger rush, Indian Railways is launching special trains. These trains will connect New Tinsukia in Assam with Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal in Bengaluru.
South Central Railway officials stated that Train No. 05952 will journey from New Tinsukia to Bengaluru every Thursday, starting from September 18 to October 30, 2025. There will be seven trips in total. In the opposite direction, Train No. 05951 will travel from Bengaluru back to New Tinsukia on Mondays, from September 22 to November 3, 2025, also offering seven trips.
These trains will stop at key stations such as Dibrugarh, Dhemaji, North Lakhimpur, Rangiya, New Bongaigaon, New Cooch Behar, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Barddhaman, Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar, Brahmapur, Vizianagaram, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Nellore, Gudur, Perambur, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Bangarapet, and Krishnarajapuram. The route will pass through Assam, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu before reaching Karnataka.
Each train will include 3AC and Sleeper Class coaches to serve long-distance travelers during this busy period. Passengers are encouraged to verify schedules and seat availability through official channels before planning their trips. This move aims to facilitate smoother travel and address the increased demand during the festive season.
