Tesla, the electric vehicle giant, is considering setting up a $2 billion to $3 billion electric car plant in India. The Congress government in Telangana is actively pursuing Tesla to establish a manufacturing plant in the state.
Minister for IT and Industries D Sridhar Babu tweeted that the Telangana government has been closely following Tesla’s investment plans in India since December 2023.
The government of Telangana is making efforts to attract Tesla to the state by offering industry-friendly policies, world-class infrastructure, and a hassle-free approvals system.
The Telangana Industries department and other government entities are in discussions with Tesla to finalize the establishment of its plant in the state.
