Sridhar Babu emphasizes growing palm oil

In Dhanwada village of Katam Mandal in Bhupalpalli district, the District Horticulture Department Officer, A Sunil Kumar, organized the planting of oil palm trees on an 11-acre farm. State IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu kicked off the event by planting the first sapling.

The Minister emphasized the State government’s commitment to agriculture. He encouraged farmers with irrigation facilities to consider oil palm as an alternate crop, highlighting economic benefits. He also mentioned that farmers can grow crops like chilli, cotton, and maize alongside oil palms. The government is offering substantial incentives to promote this cultivation.

The event saw participation from various officials, including the district library chairman, Horticulture Department Officer Mani, former MPTCs and MPPs, sarpanches, the PSCS director, and many farmers.
