In Karimnagar, a series of handwriting competitions will be held for government students, officials, and teachers. Dr. E Prasad Rao, head of Paramitha Educational Institutions, announced the event, which is organized in collaboration with the Collector and DEO of Karimnagar district.
In today’s tech-driven world, we’re losing touch with handwriting, a skill once deemed essential. As we rely more on computers and smartphones, even students struggle to write by hand. Dr. Rao highlighted that maintaining good handwriting can have health benefits, like preventing age-related diseases such as dementia.
Pamela Satpathi, the Collector and District Magistrate, is spearheading the initiative to revive interest in handwriting. Competitions will be held for government school students (Classes 6-10), employees, and teachers.
The schedule is as follows:
- School level: August 20, 10 am to 10:45 am.
- Mandal level: August 25, 10 am to 10:45 am.
- District level: September 7, 10 am to 10:45 am at Paramita Heritage School, Padmanagar.
Prizes will be awarded at different levels:
- School level winners will receive certificates.

- First place: ₹5000 each.
- Second place: ₹4000 each.
