Rajanna-Sircilla: On Monday, Aadi Srinivas, the Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA, assessed the progress of irrigation projects in Vemulawada at his office in Hyderabad.
The meeting included senior officials from the Irrigation Department and various agency representatives.
Discussions focused on several projects. These included building right and left canals from the Kalikota Suramma Cheruvu reservoir, acquiring land for the left canal of the Malkapet reservoir, and work on the Marripalli project in Vemulawada Rural area. They also talked about canal work for the Lachhapet Tanda reservoir in Konaraopet and plans to supply water to Ashireddipalli Kochcheruvu, Sanugula Erra Cheruvu, and Patel Cheruvu in Chandurthi.
Aadi Srinivas urged officials to prioritize speeding up the work to ensure farmers receive water on time, while still maintaining quality. He stressed the government’s dedication to transparency and increasing agricultural productivity through these projects.
Chief Engineer Sudhakar Reddy, Executive Engineer Santu Prakash, and other engineering officials attended the meeting.
