Karimnagar is set for significant development, according to IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu. He announced plans to transform the city into a model area. On Monday, Sridhar Babu, alongside SC and ST Minority Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, Manakondur MLA Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam, and SUDA Chairman Komatireddy Narender Reddy, initiated two major projects. They laid the foundation for a new SUD commercial building complex and the modernization of the IDSMT shopping complex near the One Town Police Station.
At the event, District Collector Pamela Satpathy and Municipal Commissioner Praful Desai also participated. The infrastructure improvements are budgeted at approximately 4.79 crores.
Minister Sridhar Babu addressed the media, emphasizing the government’s comprehensive plan to advance Karimnagar. He mentioned that Rs 4 crores has been allocated for the SUDA Commercial Building, with Rs 2 crores currently available to start the work.
The IDSMT Shopping Complex project is funded with Rs 79 lakhs. Sridhar Babu urged officials to ensure that construction is of high quality and progresses swiftly to meet the development goals.
