The prices of petrol and diesel are affected by various factors such as crude oil imports, government taxes, rising demand, rupee-dollar depreciation, and refinery concept ratio. India heavily depends on crude oil imports for its fuel needs, which makes crude prices a significant factor in determining petrol and diesel rates.

It is important to note that the fuel prices mentioned above are subject to change at any time as petroleum companies such as Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) will alter the fuel prices based on the crude oil prices.
