Today, on 11 April 2023, the prices of petrol and diesel have remained steady across India. In major cities, the price of petrol in Delhi is Rs. 96.72 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs. 89.62. Meanwhile, Hyderabad has petrol prices at Rs. 109.66 per litre and diesel at Rs. 97.82 per litre. Chennai’s petrol price is Rs. 102.65 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs. 94.24 per litre.

In Mumbai, petrol price is Rs. 106.31 per litre and diesel remains at Rs. 97,28 per litre. Bangalore’s petrol price is at Rs. 101.94 per litre while diesel is priced at Rs. 87.89 per litre.

India relies heavily on crude oil imports for petrol and diesel, which means that fluctuations in crude prices can impact fuel rates. However, other factors such as increasing demand, government taxes, depreciation of the rupee against the dollar, and refinery capacity ratios can also affect domestic fuel prices.

The fuel prices mentioned above are expected to be valid from 6 am onwards and are subject to change at any time as petroleum companies adjust prices based on crude oil prices. The table below shows the current petrol and diesel prices in major cities:
