The practical examinations for intermediate students will start on Thursday. This year, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) will conduct practical exams in English for first-year students on February 16. The goal is to help students improve their English-speaking skills.
According to TSBIE officials, the intermediate practical exams will take place from February 1 to 15. Around 4,16766 students will be taking the exams at 2,032 centers. Compared to last year, the number of students taking the theory exam is expected to be higher. So far, 9,22,520 students have paid the exam fee, which is 13,000 more than last year.
The English practical exam will involve speaking for a minute on one of 30 given topics and writing about themselves. Students’ oral responses will be recorded in certain situations for one or two minutes. This initiative aims to improve students’ English-speaking abilities, especially for those in districts who often struggle with the language. From the next academic year, the English practical exam will also be introduced for second-year students.
