A key meeting took place at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad to prepare for the Telangana–North East Connect: A Techno-Cultural Festival. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma emphasized that this event aims to merge culture and knowledge from Telangana and the eight North Eastern States—known as the seven sisters (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura) plus Sikkim. The festival will occur in two stages: from November 25 to 27 and December 2 to 4, 2025, at significant spots in Hyderabad.

The Governor highlighted the festival as a vibrant part of the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ mission, aiming to integrate the North East into India’s cultural and economic core. He stated that the event would celebrate unity through shared traditions, creativity, and innovation.
