Tandra Vinod Rao, a BJP leader and MP candidate for Khammam Lok Sabha, met with Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Thursday. He asked the minister to consider restarting the Sponge Iron Unit Plant in Palvoncha, along with the Cold Rolling Mill complex that includes a 0.3 Million Tonnes ERW Pipes Plant, Semiconductors Manufacturing Plant, Ethanol Plant, and batteries manufacturing plant.
Rao mentioned that the Union Minister responded quickly and spoke with NMDC CMD about the proposals. He plans to meet with other ministers in Delhi to discuss the matter further.
