The artisan staff in Telangana’s Energy Department went on strike, but it was ended after the management terminated the services of 200 artisans. The union leaders had discussions with the department’s management and announced that they would withdraw the strike unconditionally and return to work immediately. The power utility managements had agreed to look into the demands of the artisans and resolve them at the earliest. The management also agreed to initiate the process of reinstating the 200 artisans whose services were terminated. The Telangana Vidyut Employees union had called for the strike citing six demands.
