Hyderabad: The Primary Years Programmes (PYP) International Schools Network Skating Fest 2025-26 kicked off in style at DRS International School in Gundlapochampally, Hyderabad. Students from 12 international schools across the city joined the event. Venu Gopal, the principal of DRS International School, praised the enthusiastic participation and sportsmanship shown by the students.
A total of 225 skaters competed, demonstrating impressive skills and dedication. Venu Gopal highlighted that the PYP offers a platform for students to hone their skating abilities while learning the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and healthy competition. He expressed hope that these young athletes would excel further and achieve international success, bringing pride to the country.
During the event, Venu Gopal awarded medals and letters of commendation to the winners. Notable attendees included DRS Sports Coordinator Bharat Kumar, PYP Coordinator Achsah Bobbili, and Specialist Skating Coaches Noor, Devansh Mehta, and Ratan Singh.
