Sudarshan Reddy Assumes Role as Managing Director of HMWS&SB

C Sudarshan Reddy has become the new Managing Director of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB). Reddy is an officer in the Indian Administrative Service and has previously served in various positions. He trained at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration and has worked in districts like Khammam, Visakhapatnam, and Rajamahendravaram. He has also served as the collector of Kurnool district and held positions in the Commercial Tax department and Union Ministry of Labor and Employment. Recently, he took charge as the MD of the Water Board.

Meanwhile, Danakishore, who previously served as the MD of the Water Board, has been promoted as the Principal Secretary of the Municipal and Urban Development department. He has been the longest serving MD in the history of the Water Board, holding the position from April 2016 to December 2023. During his tenure, he made significant improvements in IT, revenue, sanitation management, and drinking water supply. His efforts have been recognized with multiple awards and have elevated the board’s reputation.
