The new GHMC Commissioner, Amrapali Kata, conducted surprise inspections in Kukatpally and surrounding areas to focus on removing garbage hotspots. She checked sanitation efforts at JNTU, Moosapet, Rythu Bazar, and Bharathnagar.
During the inspection, she emphasized the importance of regular street sweeping and cleanliness. Zonal Commissioners Anurag Jayanthi, Hemant Keshav Patil, and Ravi Kiran also conducted surprise sanitation checks in Khairtabad, LB Nagar, and Secunderabad.
Commissioner Amrapali Kata held a meeting with Zonal Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners, urging them to make daily field visits. The Deputy Commissioners were instructed to visit their divisions, take photos, and submit reports.
Special attention was given to preventing dengue and other diseases, with door-to-door visits by entomology staff for mosquito prevention. Awareness programs and special Sunday initiatives were recommended. Timely tax collection and prioritizing sanitation and waste management were also emphasized.
Zonal Commissioners Anurag Jayanthi, Ravi Kumar, Upender Reddy, Pankaja Venkanna, and others attended the meeting to discuss these important issues.
