Hyderabad: Global consumer financial services company Synchrony has further strengthened Hyderabad’s position as one of India’s leading Global Capability Centre (GCC) destinations by inaugurating its largest Global Experience Center at its Hyderabad campus. Alongside the new facility, the company also unveiled a completely reimagined Innovation Station, reinforcing its long-term commitment to India as a strategic hub for technology, artificial intelligence and enterprise innovation.
The newly inaugurated Experience Center spans nearly 6,000 square feet and is the company’s largest such facility globally. Hyderabad now hosts Synchrony’s third Experience Center worldwide, joining two existing centres in the United States.
Immersive Technology Hub
The Experience Center has been designed as an interactive space where employees, customers, and business partners can experience Synchrony’s products and digital capabilities through immersive demonstrations, virtual reality experiences and real-world customer journeys. The facility showcases solutions across the company’s Health & Wellness, Home & Auto, Lifestyle, Digital, and Diversified & Value business platforms.
According to Synchrony, the centre is intended not only to demonstrate technology but also to help employees better understand customer needs and the impact of the solutions they build.
Innovation Station to Accelerate AI and Emerging Technologies
Alongside the Experience Center, Synchrony has also launched a revamped Innovation Station, where employees will be able to explore emerging technologies, develop prototypes, participate in hackathons and innovation challenges, and test new ideas before they are deployed globally.
The company believes the combined facilities will encourage greater collaboration between engineering, product, operations and business teams while accelerating innovation in artificial intelligence, cloud technologies and enterprise platforms.
India’s Role Continues to Grow
Synchrony said India has become one of the company’s most important global operations, with teams contributing across technology, analytics, operations, cybersecurity, marketing, risk management and digital engineering. Indian teams are also involved in developing AI-powered productivity tools, enterprise-scale analytics, cloud-native applications and digital customer experiences used across Synchrony’s global business.
The Hyderabad campus today supports more than 6,000 employees, making it one of Synchrony’s largest global talent centres.
Leadership Speaks
Florin Arghirescu, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Synchrony, said the new facilities would bring together technology, talent and customer insights to create meaningful business outcomes. He noted that India’s growing contribution in artificial intelligence and enterprise technology continues to strengthen the company’s global capabilities.
Rachana Bahadur, Senior Vice President and Country Head, India, described the launch as an important milestone for Synchrony India, saying the facilities are an investment in both employees and the company’s future growth.
