Shake Hand Telangana Auto Drivers JAC in Hyderabad has accused CM KCR of trying to divide auto drivers into two groups by illegally registering electric autos to control pollution in the city. In response, the auto drivers have decided to organize a one-day Auto Bandh on August 16 and encourage other drivers with slogans like “Hyderabad Auto Wala Zindabad” and “Auto Drivers Unity Zindabad.” They want the government to convert 150,000 LPG/CNG autos into electric autos with subsidies if they are serious about pollution control.

They also mentioned that thousands of autos from neighboring districts enter Hyderabad illegally, causing traffic congestion and pollution. The police have not taken any action to stop this, and there is also an issue of financiers misusing Form 36 for black marketing new autos.
