Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan criticized Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for not following protocol by failing to meet with her for two years. She stated that periodic discussions between administrators are necessary, but this hasn’t happened in Telangana, and she hasn’t met with the Chief Minister in two years. Soundararajan also alleged that State Ministers didn’t attend her official visits and that no local leaders came to greet her. She rejected the Telangana Public Employment (Regulation of Age of Superannuation) (Amendment) Bill, 2022, and requested clarifications on two bills concerning the extension of time for no confidence motions in civic bodies and the establishment of private universities. The Governor also reserved two bills for consideration and assent from India’s President.
