The weather department has issued a rain alert for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the next two days due to low-level circulation and trough. The coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions are expected to get moderate to heavy rains, while Telangana will also receive rainfall.

Meanwhile, cyclone Morcha is causing disruptions in the coastal region. A surface circulation will form in the southeast of the Bay of Bengal, which will strengthen and become a low pressure by the 7th of this month. It may turn into a severe cyclone by the 8th or 9th of this month, severely impacting Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, and moderately affecting other states. The coastal areas should remain alert as heavy rains are expected.
