The Telangana Assembly has started discussing the report from the Kaleshwaram Commission. Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy is leading this discussion. The main focus is on the findings of the Justice PC Ghosh Commission about issues like subsidence and structural problems in the Kaleshwaram project.

Minister Reddy mentioned that about Rs. 87,000 crore has been spent on this project. However, he is worried that crucial parts like Medigadda, Sundilla, and Annaram are no longer functioning properly. Medigadda, a vital part of the project, is said to have collapsed.

The Minister expressed regret that the Kaleshwaram project has not been operational for the last 20 months.
