Chief Minister Revanth Anumula has issued directives to government officials to accelerate the land acquisition process for the Musi Rejuvenation Project. During a high-level review meeting held at the MCR HRD Bhoomi Pavilion, he emphasized the need for a comprehensive and transparent policy framework for land pooling mechanisms. The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure that all legal aspects are thoroughly addressed to prevent future complications in the acquisition process.
The review meeting focused on the progress of the Musi Riverfront Development project, with the Chief Minister calling for immediate action on Phase-2 of the initiative. He directed officials to expedite the tendering process for the second phase without delay. The meeting saw participation from key officials including representatives from HMDA, GHMC, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, Collectors of Ranga Reddy and Medchal districts, along with MRDCL Managing Director, Joint Managing Director, and other senior administrative officers.
The Chief Minister outlined specific guidelines for handling critical aspects of land acquisition, including Full Tank Level (FTL), buffer zones, and the acquisition of unassigned government lands. He stressed the importance of developing clear and unambiguous protocols to ensure the land acquisition process remains legally sound and free from disputes. Officials were instructed to take necessary precautions to avoid any legal challenges that could potentially delay the project implementation.
Regarding financial arrangements, the Chief Minister directed municipal commissioners to explore and secure loan facilities at minimal interest rates for various projects under the Musi Riverfront umbrella. He also mandated weekly reviews of Transfer of Development Rights (TDRs) issuance to maintain transparency and efficiency in the process. These financial mechanisms are expected to facilitate smooth execution of the riverfront development work while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
In addition to the main riverfront project, the Chief Minister ordered immediate tendering for the construction of the Onkhareswaraswami Temple near Gandipet Manchirevula. This directive aims to preserve and develop religious heritage sites as part of the broader development plan. He also emphasized the need for extensive promotional activities for the Kotwal Guda Birds Park, indicating the government’s commitment to developing eco-tourism and conservation sites alongside urban development initiatives.
