New York, USA: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met with Cognizant executives on Monday and signed a major expansion agreement. This deal will see Cognizant open a new facility in Hyderabad, which will be over one million square feet in size and create 15,000 new jobs quickly.
Cognizant, a global leader in IT services and consulting, made this announcement after meeting with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu. The groundwork for this agreement was laid earlier this year during the Chief Minister’s visit to Davos.
The new facility in Hyderabad will have the capacity to accommodate 20,000 employees. This decision shows Cognizant’s commitment to using Hyderabad’s skilled workforce and strong infrastructure to support its global operations.
The announcement follows a successful meeting between Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, IT Minister Sridhar Babu, and Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S. They discussed the strategic importance of Hyderabad as a growing technology hub in India.
“We are excited to expand our presence in Hyderabad, a city that continues to demonstrate its strengths as a technology and innovation hub,” said Ravi Kumar S, CEO of Cognizant.
The new center will help Cognizant better serve its global clients and continue to provide advanced IT services and consulting solutions.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated Cognizant on its expansion plans. He emphasized the government’s commitment to creating a supportive environment for IT and business services.
“The expansion of Cognizant’s operations in Hyderabad is a testament to the city’s growing reputation as a global destination for technology companies,” said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. “We are happy to support Cognizant in their growth journey and look forward to the positive impact this expansion will have on our economy.”
IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu also highlighted the importance of this expansion. “Hyderabad’s vibrant tech ecosystem continues to attract leading global companies. Cognizant’s decision to establish a new center here strengthens our position as a leading IT hub,” he said.
The new center in Hyderabad will focus on advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital engineering, and cloud solutions. This expansion is expected to create many job opportunities, further boosting Hyderabad’s role in the global technology scene.
