The district Congress party leaders, led by DCC President G Madhusudhan Reddy, celebrated the 10th anniversary of Telangana State by holding a bike rally from the Congress party office to the Clock Tower in Mahbubnagar on Friday. During the celebration, Madhusudan Reddy praised former Congress president Sonia Gandhi as the “Mother of Telangana State” for fulfilling the long-held aspirations of the people of Telangana. The district Congress leaders also conducted ‘Palabhisekham’ to Sonia Gandhi’s portrait and celebrated by bursting crackers at the clock tower square.
Madhusudan Reddy criticized the ruling BRS party, stating that during their nine years of rule, the people of Telangana, especially the youth and farmers, have lost their lands and are facing various problems. He added that the BRS party has not fulfilled the true aspirations of Telangana State and has fooled every section of society. Madhusudan Reddy believes that if Congress comes to power, they can fulfill the ambitions of the people of Telangana.
He further added that instead of fulfilling the needs of Telangana people, BRS leaders including BRS Ministers and MLAs are amassing a large amount of money through corrupt means, making the state bankrupt due to their inefficiency. The state of Telangana, which was formed with a surplus budget, has incurred debts of more than Rs 4, 50, 000 crore under the BRS rule. Madhusudan Reddy strongly believes that the BRS party has destroyed Telangana State and has ruined the lives of Telangana people.
