The Telangana government has introduced a new plan to fight against drug abuse. As part of this strategy, they have appointed government employees as ‘Drug Soldiers.’ These include school teachers, principals, and revenue officers.

In addition to this, special committees have been formed. These committees consist of paramedical staff, doctors, ASHA workers, and Anganwadi employees. Their goal is to help tackle drug abuse in the state.

The ‘Drug Soldiers’ will receive special training. This training will help them identify and stop drug-related activities within their communities. The initiative is a big step in the state’s efforts to fight against drugs, involving people from many different sectors.
