The Government of Telangana has decided to supply high-quality ghee to the Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). This step comes after concerns were raised about irregularities during the previous YSRCP regime when B Kaurnakar Reddy and Y S Subba Reddy were in charge as board chairmen. These irregularities shocked the people of Andhra Pradesh and devotees worldwide.
In response to the situation, the Telangana Government’s Vijaya Dairy has written a letter to TTD authorities. In the letter, they expressed their readiness to supply not just ghee, but also other milk products for regular use at the holy Tirumala temple.
Telangana State Principal Secretary of the Animal Husbandry department, Sabyasachi Ghose, addressed the letter to TTD Executive Officer J Syamala Rao. In the letter, Ghose offered to supply high-standard cow ghee for making laddus and other prasadams at Tirumala. He emphasized the quality and hygiene maintained in the production of Vijaya Dairy products. Ghose also highlighted that Vijaya Dairy is well-known across the country for providing valuable and quality milk products.
Vijaya Dairy not only ensures quality in its products but also supports the livelihoods of lakhs of dairy farmers. Ghose assured that Vijaya Dairy is fully transparent regarding the purity, quality, and pricing of the products. He confirmed that the company is ready to meet all the ghee and dairy product needs of TTD.
Officials are hopeful for a positive response from the TTD. They noted that Vijaya Dairy’s ghee is already being used for making laddu prasadams at several famous temples in Telangana, such as Yadagirigutta, Vemulawada, and Basara. The Telangana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation conducts regular quality checks to ensure the dairy products meet the required standards. A senior official from the Animal Husbandry department mentioned that Vijaya Dairy is prepared to supply ghee in bulk to meet the demands of TTD.
