Telangana Government Provides ₹1 Crore Insurance for Power Workers

The government has partnered with SBI to offer ₹1 crore accident insurance to power department workers. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka was present at the signing ceremony.

Deputy CM Bhatti highlighted that the insurance plan aims to enhance the bravery and morale of these employees.

He also mentioned a new energy policy from the Telangana government, targeting 20,000 megawatts of green energy by 2029–30. The government plans to boost energy production to satisfy rising demand and improve the transmission system.

Deputy CM Bhatti emphasized the power sector’s role in the state’s advancement. He stressed the importance of teamwork from everyone in the department, from linemen to ministers, to ensure the state meets its energy needs.

He remarked that the insurance is a way to appreciate the employees’ hard work and the dangers they face. He praised the team for securing the ₹1 crore insurance coverage.
