The Telangana Government has launched a major road construction project with a budget of ₹60,799 crore. Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka for approving the funds needed for this massive undertaking.
Minister Reddy called this project a significant achievement in Telangana’s history. With improved roads, the state aims to attract multinational companies. A notable part of this plan is the ₹10,400 crore allocated to widen the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway into an eight-lane road.
The project also includes ₹36,000 crore for the RRR project, which Minister Reddy described as transformative for the state. This includes building new roads in villages without current access and upgrading single roads to double lanes.
Additionally, ₹11,399 crore is dedicated to the HAM project, with tenders to be released soon. There is also an ₹8,000 crore investment for a 52 km section of the Mannanur-Srisailam elevated corridor. Minister Reddy also revealed a ₹20,000 crore plan for the Future City – Amaravati – Bandaru Port Greenfield Highway.
