In a recent hearing, Chief Justice Chandrachud commented on the purchase of electricity by former Telangana CM KCR. He questioned the Chairman of the Electricity Commission for holding a press meet and expressing views publicly.
Chief Justice Chandrachud also ordered the appointment of another judge to the Power Commission to ensure impartiality and justice. As a result, the Supreme Court issued orders to change the inquiry judge in the case.
The Telangana government is scheduled to announce the name of the new judge to the Supreme Court after 2 pm today.
