The State government of Telangana has taken steps to strengthen the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRA). On Wednesday, the government approved the creation of 169 new positions for various roles within the agency. These roles will be filled through deputation in the office of the HYDRA Commissioner.
Among the newly sanctioned positions are one commissioner, who will hold an All India Service rank, and one additional commissioner, with the rank equivalent to that of a Superintendent of Police (SP). These positions will have the pay scale of a cadre post.
Additionally, the government has approved three more posts for additional commissioners (SP rank) with a pay scale ranging from ₹83,100 to ₹1,54,690. Other posts include five deputy superintendents of police, 16 inspectors, 16 sub-inspectors, three reserve inspectors, six reserve sub-inspectors, and 60 constables.
These measures aim to enhance the operational efficiency of HYDRA in managing disaster response and protecting public assets in Hyderabad.
