The State government in Hyderabad has launched a scheme to provide financial assistance and 100% subsidy to minorities. The scheme has an allocation of Rs 100 crore, and in the first phase, 10,000 beneficiaries across the State started receiving cheques of Rs 1 lakh. The launch event took place at L B Stadium, where close to 3,600 eligible candidates received their cheques.

During the event, Home Minister Md Mahmood Ali and Minority Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar spoke about the government schemes under the present BRS government. AIMIM MLAs Jaffer Hussain Meraj emphasized that the ruling party came forward to provide financial assistance because of the efforts of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and party’s floor leader Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi. They also mentioned that previous governments failed to offer similar schemes.
