Telangana receives Centre’s notification on establishment of National Turmeric Board

The Government of India has announced the establishment of the National Turmeric Board. The goal of this board is to increase awareness and consumption of turmeric, as well as to develop new international markets in order to boost exports. The board will also focus on promoting research and development for new turmeric products and utilizing traditional knowledge to create value-added turmeric products. It is anticipated that turmeric exports from India will reach a value of US$1 billion by 2030.
