Hyderabad: The tradition of central government awards for Telangana continues. The gram panchayats in the state have already received several national awards, and now, in the recently announced national water awards by the Jal Shakti Ministry, the state has won three awards. Jagannadhapuram gram panchayat in Bhadradri Kothagudem district has received the National Excellence Award, securing the third position in the Best District category, and Urdu University has secured the second position in the Best Institutional Department category. The awards will be presented on October 17 in Delhi by the Vice President.
This achievement of receiving the awards on the day of Pallevu Progress Day, which is being celebrated as part of the Telangana Formation Day celebrations, is special.
