Late Saturday night, a tragic accident occurred near Vatavarlapalli in the Nagar Kurnool district. Three people lost their lives, and another was seriously injured when their vehicle lost control and hit a tree.
The victims were identified as 22-year-old Macharla Kishan Kannayya from Matsyabollaram in the Medchal district, along with his two friends. They were on a trip to the Srisailam reservoir when the accident happened. According to Amrabad Circle Inspector Sankar Naik, the group was traveling at midnight when they suddenly lost control of the car.
Kishan Kannayya and two of his friends died at the scene. Another friend, Sai Prakash from Kompalli, was seriously injured and was quickly taken to a hospital in Sunnipenta, Nandyal district, for treatment.
Authorities have moved the bodies to Acchampet Government Hospital for post-mortem examinations. The police have registered a case and are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.
