The Meteorological Department in Hyderabad has forecasted moderate rains in Telangana over the next five days. This is due to a low-pressure system formed in East Vidarbha, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, triggering rainfall in Rayalaseema and Telangana.
The weather experts warn that temperatures will drop, creating cooler weather for the next five days starting today. Yellow alerts have been issued for various districts as a precaution against moderate rainfall.
There is a possibility of rain in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on May 13, coinciding with scheduled elections. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 37 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures to be at 24 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. An orange alert has been raised for districts like Peddapalli, Bhupalapalli, Mulugu, and Rangareddy due to anticipated gusty winds of 40-50 km per hour.
The IMD advises that the low-pressure system may continue until May 12, leading to widespread rainfall and hailstorms in different areas. Residents and authorities are urged to prepare for the expected weather conditions and fluctuations in the coming days.
