The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains in Telangana due to cyclone Michaung. Bhadradri-Kothagudem and Mulugu districts are under a red alert, while Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, and Hanmakonda districts are under an orange alert. Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Nalgonda, Janagama, Yadadri, Bhupalapalli, and Nagar Kurnool districts are under a yellow alert.

Since Monday night, heavy rains have been falling in these districts. As a precautionary measure, NDRF teams are being deployed to Mulugu and Bhadradri districts. Hyderabad has also been experiencing rainfall since this morning, leading to disrupted traffic in some areas due to waterlogged roads.
