Poll fever has taken over the combined Palamuru district, with fierce competition among leaders from different parties vying for tickets for the two seats in the former Mahbubnagar district. Leaders across parties are anxious about whether their current members will be chosen again.

The top leadership of all parties is focused on selecting candidates who have a strong chance of winning. This has sparked interesting discussions among the public and created a sense of unease among the two sitting members from the BRS, especially since the Congress party secured a majority of seats in the recent Assembly elections.

There is a mixed feeling in political circles about the likelihood of the two sitting members missing out on tickets, as not many others are eager to contest. The entry of a former TTD board member and nephew of Mannem Srinivas Reddy into the Congress has added to the uncertainty, with speculation about potential candidates like former MLAs Ala Venkateshwar Reddy and Marri Janardhan Reddy for the Mahabubnagar constituency.

The BRS has yet to announce its candidate. In Nagarkurnool, MP Ramulu is reportedly pushing for his son Bharath to be chosen, although Bharath is exploring options with other parties.

Rumors suggest that important leaders from a national party are in talks with Bharath, raising the possibility that Ramulu may switch his party allegiance. If this occurs, the BRS will need to find a new candidate. Additionally, there is speculation that leaders who joined other parties in hopes of securing tickets may return to the pink party.
