Hyderabad: The Telangana Government is making strong efforts to stop piracy in the film industry, according to Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju. He spoke at a press conference at the FDC boardroom in Masab Tank on Wednesday alongside FDC Managing Director Ch Priyanka.
Following instructions from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, several meetings have been conducted with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka to tackle important industry issues. A thorough action plan is being developed, and new rules may be introduced if necessary.
Dil Raju mentioned that the FDC will serve as the central agency. A special committee, including members from the Film Chamber of Commerce, Cyber Cell, and Police Department, will be formed. This group will manage the online permission system for film shoots and enforce strict anti-piracy actions.
He emphasized the government’s dedication to the film industry’s growth and welfare. He called on all involved parties to work together to strengthen the sector.
FDC Managing Director Ch Priyanka noted that the accreditation for film journalists will be reviewed. A decision will be made soon based on what’s practical. She promised that any concerns raised by stakeholders will be addressed promptly and with care.
