Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu is reviewing arrangements for the meeting between Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday.

The state government hopes that the meeting will send a positive message to the people of both states, even though not all issues can be resolved in one meeting. The officials are working to ensure that the meeting on July 6 will be productive and help in resolving contentious issues through dialogue.

Revanth Reddy is focused on building better relations between the two states and discussing ways to strengthen ties for economic development and optimal utilization of natural resources. The government wants to emphasize that the meeting is between two colleagues and not a mentor and student relationship.

The meeting will address issues like connecting national highways, water sharing, resolving construction disputes on rivers, and asset distribution under the AP Reorganisation Act. However, not all issues can be resolved in just one meeting.

A major issue to be discussed is the transfer of five villages from Andhra Pradesh to Telangana, as Telangana claims these villages are not part of areas affected by the Polavaram project. Officials from both states are preparing a list of issues to be discussed during the meeting.
