Hyderabad: The Telangana State Government has chosen Osmania University to organize the Telangana State – State Eligibility Test (TG-SET) 2025. This test is for hiring Assistant Professors and Lecturers for universities and colleges in the state. The exam will take place in the second week of December 2025 and will be conducted online.
The official announcement on Wednesday outlined that TG-SET 2025 will have two papers. Paper I includes 50 questions worth 100 marks, while Paper II has 100 questions totaling 200 marks. The exam lasts for three hours. It aims to evaluate candidates’ qualifications for teaching roles in Telangana’s higher education institutions.
Candidates can start applying online from October 10, 2025. They should check the official TG-SET site (www.telanganaset.org) and the Osmania University portal (www.osmania.ac.in) for guidelines, syllabus, eligibility details, and exam updates. Prof. B. Srinivas, the Member Secretary of TG-SET, and Prof. Kumar Molugaram, the Chairman of TG-SET and Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, promised a fair and efficient exam process. They encouraged candidates to prepare and keep an eye on official announcements for important information and instructions.
