    The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has introduced a new B.Sc. Biomedical Science program in State universities to help students find jobs in the industry and healthcare sectors. The program will start in the 2024-2025 academic year. The announcement was made during a meeting led by Professor R Limbadri, chairman of TGCHE.

    The B.Sc. (Biomedical Science) (Honours) syllabus was developed by experienced professors and industry scientists. It will be implemented in universities in the upcoming academic year. The program will provide practical training, relevant curriculum, and internships in the industry to prepare students for employment in corporate hospitals, biopharma companies, and diagnostic centers.

    Pharmaceutical industries, healthcare sectors, and degree colleges have come together to introduce the biomedical science course by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration is aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry, according to a senior officer.
